Steak Dinner

Hey guys! So I have to brag for a second. My boyfriend, Kristopher, is a phenomenal cook. He feeds me well and I am LOVING it. So a few nights ago Kristopher and I (ok, mostly Kristopher) whipped up a SUPER yummy meal! It was so good that I just had to share!

We had steak and roasted asparagus with a gorgonzola cream sauce and mushrooms. Warning, your mouth might be watering by the end of this blog, I know mine is already.

Ingredients

The ingredients we used were two (giant) grass-fed New York strips, a bundle of asparagus, heavy whipping cream, gorgonzola cheese, butter, olive oil, mushrooms, fresh thyme, garlic, Himalayan pink salt, and pepper.

After we gathered our ingredients, we seasoned the steaks and asparagus. The steaks were seasoned with Himalayan pink salt and pepper. The asparagus was cut, drizzled with olive oil, sprinkled with salt and pepper, then put in the oven. We put it in for about 20 minutes at 425 degrees.

While the asparagus was in the oven, Kristopher worked on the sauce and the steaks. First, he cooked the steaks in a cast iron skillet. Once the steaks were done he added butter, garlic, and fresh thyme. It smelled AMAZING! He did the sauce by heating up the heavy whipping cream on the stove first. Then, he added gorgonzola cheese, salt, and pepper and stirred occasionally while it cooked.

Muahrooms

When the steaks were finished, they were removed from the pan and set aside. We then added the mushrooms to the same pan that the steaks were in to cook in the leftover juices from the steaks.  We also continued to stir the cream sauce while the mushrooms finished cooking.

Finally, we have a meal! It was amazing! The rich flavor from the gorgonzola was the perfect touch. We both ended up adding more to our plates!

I highly recommend this meal. I do not have nutrition facts, but all of the ingredients are keto friendly.

Thank you all for reading! Please feel free to try it out yourself. Let me know if you do! Have a blessed day!
