Classroom Reveal

Welcome back to school and welcome to my first teaching related blog! Today I’m going to share my classroom with y’all. Do y’all realize how much time a teacher puts into prepping his/her classroom for the year?  A LOT! A lot of time, a lot of money, and a lot of moving – ESPECIALLY if you’re in a new room or school. I had to move rooms this year, so I had a totally fresh start on decorating. BUT, I low-key love to decorate. So it was ok!

I made the frames and letters using my Cricut. (If you don’t own a Cricut, you NEED one! Find them using this link.)

The boarder can be found here.

I made the welcome pennants myself, the mailbox filing system was given to me from a fellow teacher, the supply organizer can be found here, and the stools can be found here.

The Day the Crayons Quit and its sequel are the cutest children’s books ever! Great for a unit on writing friendly letters.

I use my book bins for journal storage. Each book bin matches the color of each table group. Color coordinating my classroom stuff brings me so much cheesy joy, LOL. You can find a set of book bins here.

The floral print rug was given to me, so I’m not sure where it came from specifically.

On the bottom left, I used a table cloth, cardstock paper, and my cricut to make it. It says “Believe in your selfie.” I am putting their pictures on the squares. The tablecloth can be found here.

The top left bulletin board is my favorite. It says “Be a buddy not a bully.” My kiddos LOVE it and they’re always saying it! I purchased the pom poms from Dollar Tree.

The caddy is an example of the color coordinated stuff I have. Each table has their own caddy to match their journal bins. You can find a set of caddies here.

The name tags are amazing! They provide each student with their own alphabet, number line, and left and right hands for referencing. You can get yours here.

The bottom right bulletin board is our calendar set. It is confetti themed and I love it! You can find it here. The boarder around it can be here.

The 10 drawer cart is great for whatever you want to use it for. Some people store supplies and some people store monthly plans in them. I use mine for supplies.

The birthday bulletin board is fun and my students really like it. Now that I know my students, I have put their names and birthdays on a little square piece of paper on a stick and put them in each bag according to their birthdays. The paper for the background of it is just wrapping paper.

It’s going to be a fun year in first grade!
